Margaret Spellings accepted the nomination as president of the University of North Carolina's 17 constituent campuses on Friday. Spellings, 57, is currently President of the George W. Bush Presidential Center based on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX and is the former United States Secretary of Education for the Bush Administration. She will take office on March 1, 2016.

Hunt was wrongly convicted in 1984 of the murder of 25-year-old Deborah Sykes, and while DNA testing proved his innocence in 1994, the appeal process took 10 years. The Innocence Project's message, Rosen said, "is not that there are angels out there waiting to be saved, it's that we don't know -- that this is an uncertain world." The event was part of the Park Scholarships Social Justice Series.

The Spiritual bar of the recently opened Raleigh Beer Garden at 614 Glenwood Ave. Spiritual is a high-end cocktail bar on the first floor of RGB which features rare and locally distilled spirits. The RBG offers 344 craft beers, 144 of which are locally brewed in North Carolina.

The kegs that feed into the taps on the second floor bar of the Raleigh Beer Garden. The row of kegs lead to over 100 individual beer taps and are visible from a window beside the bar.

Brothers at Pi Kappa Phi loading furniture into their car in Fraternity Row on Wednesday night. The Tau Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity at North Carolina State University has been suspended for three years following an investigation into a pledge book discovered last week containing racially and sexually offensive language, campus officials said Wednesday. The national fraternity revoked the chapter’s charter, and NCSU Chancellor Randy Woodson called for a thorough review of the Greek system on campus.

Justin Drust, audio director for the Virtual MLK project, explaining the technical work that he did on the project. Recording the speech was the first phase of the project, the second was the creation of a website and the third phase will combine the audio with a 3D rendering of the interior of the original White Rock Baptist Church.
