This Krispy Kreme Doughnuts sign will be the location of 6,800 dozens of doughnuts for the participants of the Krispy Kreme Challenge 5 mile race.

The Krispy Kreme Doughnuts store on North Person Street in Downtown Raleigh serves customers fresh doughnuts everyday of the year except for Christmas.

The Krispy Kreme Doughnuts hats sit available to take inside the stores and on tables.

Dozens of rows of Krispy Kreme doughnuts at the Downtown Raleigh store wait to be packaged by employees at the end of the production line where they will then be driven to all of the stoes in the Wake Countuy and Johnston County areas for customers to enjoy.

In rows of six, the doughnuts go under the icing machine to be made into the orginal glazed doughnuts. Participants of the Krispy Kreme Challenge will be eating a dozen original glazed doughnuts at the halfway point at the Krispy Kreme store in Downtown Raleigh.

This part of the Krispy Kreme machine flips the doughnuts over to ensure that they are cooked equally on both sides.

Jade Smith, a junior studying nutrition science, donates her change to the penny wars competition hosted by the National Pan Hellenic Council. The money is going towards water bottles and water filters for those in Flint, MI. When asked why she donated, Smith said "I just saw the flyer out and wanted to donate and thought it was a good cause."
