NC State football is busy retooling its offense for the 2026 season.
The Wolfpack has several key players to replace, with senior tight end Justin Joly off to the NFL draft and several key transfer departures, including redshirt junior offensive tackle Jacarrius Peak, sophomore receiver Terrell Anderson and redshirt sophomore running back Hollywood Smothers.
Here are four transfer additions to know for the Wolfpack.
Jimarion McCrimon, Offensive Lineman
McCrimon is no stranger to NC State after facing the Wolfpack twice in the past two seasons.
As ECU’s starting left tackle last season, McCrimon offers NC State an intimidating presence in the trenches with a proven track record. The 6-foot-5, 307-pound tackle is a taller player than Peak, who departed for South Carolina, and excels at clearing the lane for running backs. McCrimon led the Pirates’ offensive line in the 2024 Military Bowl against NC State, helping the Pirates rush for 326 yards.
As the blindside protector for sophomore quarterback CJ Bailey, McCrimon will be crucial in pass protection. This past season, McCrimon earned First Team All-AAC honors, only surrendering 3 sacks and 17 pressures. To maintain that success at the Power 4 level, McCrimon will need to improve on staying ahead of faster edge rushers that can convert speed to power.
Daniel Cruz, Offensive Lineman
Continuing the trend of beefing up the offensive line, NC State reeled in Texas offensive lineman Daniel Cruz, who projects to start at guard for the Wolfpack.
Unlike McCrimon, Cruz has very little experience at the collegiate level, only playing limited snaps in mop-up duty for the Longhorns. Nonetheless, with his unique combination of quickness and mauling strength, Cruz has the athletic profile to be one of the Wolfpack’s most valuable pickups this year.
Cruz arrived at Texas with high expectations, rated as a 247Sports Composite four-star prospect out of high school. As an Under Armour All-American and the 2023 Outstanding Lineman of the Year in his high school district, Cruz excelled as a center with the versatility to play guard.
Victor Snow, Wide Receiver
Moving south from Buffalo, Snow is a lightning-fast option for NC State as a slot receiver.
Snow was a do-it-all playmaker for the Bulls, contributing as a receiver, runner and returner last season, with touchdowns in all three roles. He totaled over 800 yards for Buffalo and will step in as NC State’s most experienced receiver next season.
The first team All-MAC receiver is set up to be a key target for Bailey. The Wolfpack’s top four receiving options are all gone, leaving plenty of targets up for grabs. Snow totaled more yards, receptions and touchdowns than each of the departures did individually last season and is capable of being a featured piece in the Pack’s offense. Expect Snow to be a home run threat every time he touches the football.
Chance Robinson, Wide Receiver
Rounding out the Wolfpack’s top offensive additions this offseason is Chance Robinson.
Robinson never saw significant playing time during his two seasons at Miami, dealing with injuries during his time with the Hurricanes. However, there’s potential for him to be a star in Raleigh.
A former seven-on-seven teammate of Bailey with the South Florida Express, the duo has the potential to build quick chemistry in the passing game. At 6-foot-2, Robinson is a bigger receiver who can win jump balls, making him a dynamic complement to Snow.
As a four-star prospect in high school, Robinson earned his chops making plays down the field. Expect Robinson to fill in as an outside receiver for the Wolfpack in a role similar to former NC State receiver Emeka Emezie.
While Robinson is one of the bigger risks for NC State due to the injury history, the gamble is worth it given his upside.
